October 12, 2007 thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for visiting my good and sturdy art gallery! My art is 95% trash, made from stuff I find on the ground, at yard sales and thrift stores, broken stuff and stuff my friends send me.

Here is a little ground squirrel that lives at the High Desert Nature Center in Yucca Valley. My Dad, my step mom Gwen and I visited him and his friends (snakes and spiders and lizards) last week. Usually he loves visitors and gets so excited and jumps up and down at the glass to say hi. Today he had just finished entertaining 30 elementary students so he was taking a time out, having a cookie break. He first came into the center years ago as a baby with an injury. They nursed him back to health and set him free in the grounds of the Nature Center. According to one of the staff, he sat outside the front door for a day or more til they decided if he really is happier in the Nature Center, who are they to stand in his way? He is the main draw for me to the center, he is so cute and friendly, he is good inspiration for my artworks. I try to take all visitors to meet him. So now you have met him. Next visit I'll see if he has a name!

GO GREEN!

William McDonough at TED 2005. Here is an inspiring video of McDonough speaking at the TED Conference. His sustainable design architecture firm is designing 16 GREEN cities in China to be based on his book "Cradle to Cradle." I just noticed the shipping packages on US Postal Service packages now have "Cradle to Cradle" Certification! Check it out at the USPS web site here.

Randy Polumbo and Shari Elf are excited to present to you our Rockstar show. I hope you'll have a look at all of the art works in this fun show and links to the artist's web sites. Much of the art is for sale, too!

Would you like to know when I post new works on this page?   Yes I would.   Prices below include shipping.
